Leave a gift in your Will
If you're considering leaving a gift in your will to the RSPCA, and you want to ensure that gift makes a real difference close to home, the only way to ensure your legacy supports local animals is by naming your local RSPCA branch. By leaving a gift to RSPCA North Wilts & Newbury District Branch in your Will, you’ll be ensuring that your legacy directly supports animals in your community. It’s a heartfelt way to celebrate your love for animals — and to make a lasting difference locally.
For over 50 years RSPCA North Wiltshire & Newbury District Branch has worked to improve the lives of animals in our District. Thanks to our generous supporters, the scope of our work has expanded from a focus on domestic welfare to now operating a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre, running a flourishing cat rehoming programme and providing vital support to pet owners.
Although we are proud to be a part of the national RSPCA's network of Branches, we are an independently funded Branch that relies on the kindness of our community. This makes every donation and gift, no matter how large or small, deeply meaningful

What type of gift can I leave?

We're incredibly thankful for every gift and there are three main types of gift you can leave:
- A percentage gift (otherwise known as a residuary gift) - this is where you set aside a percentage of your remaining estate after funeral expenses, debts and other gifts have been paid. As you may not know the final value of your estate, you may find it easier to apportion gifts to your chosen beneficiaries (individuals or charities) by leaving residuary gifts.
- A cash gift (otherwise known as a pecuniary gift) - this is a gift of a specified sum of money. All gifts make a real difference to the animals we care for, but it’s worth remembering that the eventual value of this type of gift is likely to be impacted by inflation. For example, a gift of £2,000 left today may only be worth £1,500 in 10 years’ time.
- A specific legacy - this is a gift of a specific, named item. For example, it could be property, a piece of jewellery, artwork, or a car.

Is it worth leaving a gift, even if I don't think I have much to give?

It is always worth leaving a gift, no matter how small. Gifts of all sizes help us continue to care for animals in need.

Should I tell you if I plan to leave you a gift?

It's your choice if you want to tell us. If we know you intend to leave us a gift in your Will, it allows us to plan for the future.
You can let us know your intentions by contacting our Fundraising Team at fundraising@rspcanorthwilts.org.uk or by calling 07774488903.

I already have a Will, can I still leave a gift to RSPCA North Wilts & Newbury District Branch?
