Become a Volunteer Cat Foster Carer
Our dedicated team of foster carers help us to provide cats in need with the safety of their home whilst tending to their welfare needs. By providing a temporary loving environment, our foster carers play a crucial role in a cat’s wellbeing and socialisation, while we get to know each cats’ individual personality and traits. This will significantly improve their chances of successful rehoming! While our cats are in foster care, we will be busy monitoring them and finding them the ‘Purrrfect’ forever home.

- Flexible commitment (from 6 weeks +). You can still go on holiday and take a break in between if needed
- We'll provide all food, equipment and veterinary care required to care for your foster cat
- All our animals are assessed by our Vet and Behaviour teams – we know them really well
- You'll be fully supported by our experienced Fostering & Rehoming team

To become a Foster Carer you will need to:
- Provide our cats with care, suitable housing, and a safe environment as per our policies and guidelines.
- Feed, water and groom them in line with our advice.
- Transport them to any veterinary appointments when required.
- Provide them with your time and patience.
- Playing and cuddles are also a must!
You must be over the age of 18 to become a foster carer. If you have other pets, a separate room to care for them is needed.
Jasper's Foster Journey
Nine year old Jasper was an unneutered male who had spent several years as a stray. When this gentle giant arrived at his foster home he was in a bit of a state; hungry, dirty and feeling the effects of being out in the cold for far too long.
Jasper soon found the heat pad and proceeded to spend his first few days in foster care snuggled up, stirring only for food and to acknowledge the new human in his life.
Once he had settled in, Jasper's personality shone through. It was clear Jasper had two interests; food and attention. Play time was beneath him, a chore, a task not worthy of his attention. As long as Jasper was eating or within touching distance of his foster carer for cuddles and lap time, he was happy.
After several weeks of care, Jasper was ready for his forever home. It did not take him very long and he found a home perfectly suited to him. His foster carer even receives regular updates from his new family!
